Apology Minutes: An apology for inability to attend was reported from Councillor Garrett.

Minutes: The minutes of the meeting of 4th August were taken as read and signed as correct.

Routine Correspondence Minutes: It was noted that correspondence had been received from the Roads Service in relation to a proposal to introduce a contraflow cycle lane in University Square.

Request for Deputations Minutes: It was noted that no requests had been received.

Belfast Planning Office Staffing Minutes: A Member reminded the Committee that, at its meeting on 16th June, it had agreed to write to the Minister for the Environment, Mr. A. Attwood, M.L.A., requesting that he meet with an All-Party deputation from the Council in respect of a number of issues relating to staffing levels within the Planning Service. He enquired if any response had been received from the Minister’s Office.
The Democratic Services Officer reported that no response had been received as yet and undertook to contact the Minister’s office and update the Committee in due course.
