Outside organisations

The Transition Committee will oversee all of the work required for the smooth transfer of services, staff and assets from both central government and from Lisburn and Castlereagh Councils.

Working with the Shadow Strategic Policy and Resources Committee, the Committee will be responsible for ensuring that service delivery plans, with draft budget estimates are prepared and that they include business continuity arrangements.  The Committee will also oversee the approach adopted to agree service standards across the new areas to ensure that it remains consistent and equitable.  Decisions about tendering for new contracts required post 2015 will also be agreed by the Transition Committee.
