This launch aims to inspire and encourage the people of Belfast to understand the importance of the urban wildlife that lives amongst us. Children from local schools will be involved in the event through a poetry and art competition. The event will seek to highlight the proactive steps the City is taking to protect its wildlife. This event would contribute to the Council’s Key Themes of ‘City Leadership – Strong, Fair, Together’, ’Better care for Belfast’s environment’ and ‘Better support for people and communities’. |

This event seeks to promote the success of those who, due to their experiences during the troubles have returned to education and training through the support of WAVE Trauma Centre. Accredited certificates will be awarded on the night to individuals who have successfully completed Open College Network courses through WAVE.
This event would contribute to the Council’s Key Theme of ‘Better opportunities for success across the city’, ‘Better support for people and communities’ and ‘Better services – listening and delivering’. |

This event will launch a week of events which will raise awareness of the problem of human trafficking within the City. The event will provide the opportunity for various organisations to work together to achieve an identity for Belfast as a ‘City that Stands Against Slavery’. This event would contribute to the Council’s Key Theme of ‘Better opportunities for success across the city’, ‘Better support for people and communities’ and ‘Better services – listening and delivering’. |
